“My work can be used in an inspirational way to bring back memories we may not know we possessed, through digital and traditional figurative illustrations. My paintings can create a connection to something personal and inspiring. The figures I create work through the lenses of vulnerability, hope and breaking free specifically within Black and/or Caribbean cultures.
The work I present discusses the state of our being; from mental and emotional health to spiritual and environmental health in a place that puts others before its own people.
My work is simply a mirror of my people. A documentation and representation of our culture”.
