Nadia Smith
Acrylic Paint
Every stroke of the paint brush releases an emotion, an unspoken word. I paint to speak what is at the root of my soul and I want to share these thoughts with others. Art allows me to escape this world of uncertainty. My work is often a reflection of the moods that everyday life brings, the joy of accomplishments, the satisfying feeling of love, the contention with struggles. My medium is normally acrylic but I do not wish to be confined by one. I have delved into mixed media, incorporating clay into some of my pieces. I love semi-abstraction, the human figure and nature. I paint until I feel a sense of calm in my soul, a sense of contentment. For me art is life!
